For steps on how to play Spotify on your TV, check out Spotify on TV.
To see if your TV supports the Spotify app, go to the app store on your TV and search for Spotify. If your TV isn't listed, you can upgrade it with a soundbar or streamer that supports Spotify Connect.

The Slacker app on Roku is also horrible. I really don't understand the popularity of Roku at all. I took an ancient PC that was destined for the recycling depot and installed Ubuntu desktop. It's now our media PC. Linux version of Spotify app is good, browser version works great. Roku offers a treasure trove of free TV and movies through its Roku Channel, which is a streaming channel that's available on a wide range of devices. To download this app on your Samsung Smart.
- Well I hope they fix the Roku app so it has all the functionality of their other apps. I do enjoy using Spotify with my living room system, where the Roku is the source. But for now, if I really want to spend some time with Spotify in the living room (it does have the most comfortable seating), I will plug in the Chromecast and control it from.
- I finally got a Roku TV, and I found a couple of things lacking: 1. There is no 'My Music section. Searching is difficult and not user friendly. It is difficult to find anything I want to listen to. Spotify app on my phone suggests I can use Spotify connect with my TV, but it never shows.
